Place Creative Company

HireAbility Vermont

Re-imagining the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation for Vermonters with Disabilities

The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation approached Place Creative Company with multiple communication challenges. The first was their name. Through an in-depth Brand Focus Workshop process, we discovered key team members and people with disabilities did not like the word “rehabilitation” in their program name. From there, we led their team through a complete re-branding. We worked with them on naming, brand strategy, and supporting brand language to develop a meaningful brand. From there, we developed all creative collateral including web, print, and video. The statewide media campaign rolled out in early 2022 and generated 200+ inquiries to the program.

Scope: BRAND DEVELOPMENT. LOGO. CAMPAIGN MESSAGING. PRINTED COLLATERAL. VIDEO. MEDIA STRATEGY. DIGITAL CAMPAIGN. WEBSITE DESIGN.

BRAND NAMING + IDENTITY

BRAND POSITIONING

Elevating What Vermonters With Disabilities And Employers Can Achieve Together.

Vermonters with disabilities have many barriers to overcome including finding a career. It can be challenging to get to an interview, find a position that will accommodate their needs, or be able to train for a manager position, for example. These people are capable and willing to work. Yet, they are often overlooked as potential employees. The tagline “Where Ability Meets Opportunity” speaks to the synergy between HireAbilty Vermont and the people they help but also identifies and promotes the opportunities Vermonters with disabilities are able to have access to by working with HireAbility. It’s motivating, powerful, and inspiring.

WEBSITE DESIGN + BUILD

The website was designed to be fully-accessible for all Vermonters

One of the key drivers of this re-brand was to break away from the State of Vermont’s information-driven template and provide Vermonters with a go-to resource for working with the HireAbility team to enter the job market or advance their career. The website provides not only thorough information on all kinds of programs, but it’s accessible to all Vermonters. It was important to both teams to provide a website that anyone can access using keyboard navigation, screen readers, and other website accessiblity design considerations like contrast and type size.
